Nats, Zimmerman close in on new contract (AP)
A person familiar with the negotiations says third baseman Ryan Zimmerman and the Washington Nationals have agreed to add $100 million over six years to his contract. Zimmerman also gets a full no-trade clause. The person told The Associated Press about the deal on condition of anonymity Sunday because no announcement had been made.
