Whitney scores SO winner as Coyotes top Oilers 3-2 (Yahoo! Sports)

As the clock ticked down, it was obvious which team still has something to play for. Ray Whitney scored in regulation and in the shootout as the Phoenix Coyotes rallied to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 on Sunday night. Raffi Torres scored for the Coyotes (36-26-11) with less than three minutes left to play to force overtime.
