Mets' Wright returning to New York for examination (Yahoo! Sports)
Ailing Mets third baseman David Wright will return to New York to have his sore rib cage examined. Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Sunday said he expects Wright will receive a cortisone shot. Wright will be checked Monday at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Wright has not played in an exhibition game this year.
